More details:

 

The living room has a pullout couch (full-size), propane fireplace, new mini-split for A/C and heat, a TV with RoKu streaming (log into your own streaming apps).

 

The kitchen has full-size appliances and is stocked with everything you need to cook a meal.

 

The bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, full-sized mirror, iron+board, and charging ports on each nightstand.

 

The loft has two twin beds and a door out to the star-gazing deck!

 

The full bathroom has a tub/shower combo and bath products are provided. The washer/dryer is also located here.

 

Out back is the private deck with brand new hot tub. Out front is a relaxing porch and propane grill.

 

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself, including the private hot tub.

 

The Mogollon Resort is just across the street from Bison Ranch. An adorable collection of cabins among ponderosa pine trees. There is a nearby splash pad, restaurant, and even horseback riding!

 

This cabin is near the Mogollon Rim and the Petrified Forest National Park.

 

Pets are allowed. We charge a fee of $50 per pet per booking. (Pets are not to be left in the cabin unattended. Please bring your own blankets/towels for your pet. Pets are not allowed on furniture.)

 

No fires are allowed in this community.

 

No refunds will be given for weather-related road closures. We recommend adding travel insurance if you are traveling in the winter.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Callie was super proactive and made sure we had all of the information we needed before hand. The cabin was super easy to get to since it was right off the highway. You do hear some traffic if you are outside but when you are inside it’s pretty quiet. The neighborhood is lovely and we saw local wildlife on our morning and evening walks. There are multiple lakes within 30 minutes that we took our paddle boards too. The stargazing deck was a nice touch. Each evening we would go out for a little bit to enjoy the view.

My husband and I needed to get away for a few days from the craziness of our lives. We thought this would be a very small cabin, but it's actually pretty large. It sleeps up to six and is designed perfectly for up to six people. It was just the two of us so it was very roomy and comfortable. It's hard to say what we liked best, either the stargazing deck or the hot tub. Both were wonderful. We saw a falling star and it was so amazingly beautiful, so the stargazing deck might have been our favorite. We tried out several of the restaurants in the area and they were all very nice. The Red Onion had a really great ribeye and delicious drinks. We would definitely recommend this cabin and would go again.

Our family had a blast at this cabin. Was very clean and look just like the pictures. The top deck was a plus and wonderful for the night star gazing. Hot tub was very nice addition to the cabin. We arrived around 9:30 PM for what was supposed to be a three-night stay. The property was sealed up tight, and when we entered, there was a faint but unmistakable smell of gas. We opened all the windows and went straight to bed, hoping it would dissipate. The next morning (with windows opened), my wife put a pot on the stove to heat water for tea. Thankfully, she stayed nearby—because debris under the burner caught fire, causing smoke. I notified the host, expecting some degree of concern or responsibility. Instead, I received a casual, “Oh, thank you for letting me know! I’ll inform our cleaning team so it doesn’t happen again.” No apology. No accountability. Adding to the sense of neglect, we found two mostly eaten bags of chips in the cupboard. It was gross. This place has all the charm of a seedy motel and none of the attention to detail or care that makes a stay enjoyable. We left the next morning and are now hoping for reimbursement.

We came up from the valley for a staycation here in Arizona for our kiddo spring break and what a perfect place to do just that. The cabin was exactly as described, full amenities, hot tub was pristine and ready to go upon arrival. The cabin had everything you needed for a full and comfortable stay. We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin after Christmas! The star-gazing deck and hot tub were definite highlights—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the crisp winter nights. Despite being near a busy road, the trees surrounding the cabin provided a nice sense of privacy, and while we could hear some traffic from the 260, it wasn’t overly distracting. The cabin was warm, inviting, and the perfect size for our family of four. We loved the convenient location, especially being able to grab a delicious lunch from the Groovy Gringa food truck at 260 Brewery just across the road. The kids were thrilled to see wildlife right outside the cabin, including squirrels and deer, which added a magical touch to our trip. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

Bear Paw is tucked away in a cozy corner of Heber-overguard across from bison ranch. nice location for walks with your pet and easy access to the 260 if you want to go explore the great outdoors. the hot tub is a excellent addition to the cabin and great on cold nights! the fire place puts out heat to warm you and your family while watching a movie on theTV. I think the bed and couch could be changed out, some of the fixtures and decore were a little dusty but overall the stay was relaxing and we enjoyed it!!

We had a wonderful time my co-worker and I. It was very relaxing and we had a lot of laughs. The only thing that I would might suggest is maybe some instructions on how to use the heater. Lol we are two city girls and we failed at trying to work that thing. Also some instructions on how to use the television. We ended up just using air play from our phones because it wasn’t letting us move forward after we selected our dates of stay. Again two city girls so we probably aren’t the brightest but we still figured out a way to work it and stay warm. Thank you so much again. We definitely would love to book with you again. If I were only allowed one word to summarize my stay, it would be - PERFECT! The map & directions provided were spot on! Made it just in time for sunset the first night & enjoyed the view on the upper deck for that. The hot tub on the lower deck off the main bedroom was amazing & spent a few nights & late afternoons there. The bed was even super comfy & the fireplace was a must, coming in from the city. It was a tad chilly. I will definitely be returning, had the best time on my Birthday weekend!

We cannot say enough about how great this property was. It looked just like the photos. The place was clean, organized, well stocked, and cozy. Callie was very responsive and even came to the property prior to our checkin to shovel the porch and walkways because they had just had a big snow storm. We had everything we needed and it was a great stay. The jacuzzi was warmed before we got there and was ready to go. The heat had been turned on and the temp was great when we checked in. The cabin is located in a neighborhood with other small cabins, so it wasn't very secluded, but with the trees and it's location at the end of the street, it did feel very private especially on the back decks. This was our first AirBnB experience and it was a perfect one. We cannot wait to come back.

I came to celebrate my birthday here with some family and it was so awesome. The home was provided with all the kitchen utensils we needed to BBQ and celebrate together . This home is also pet friendly and my pet just enjoyed going out for a walk in this quiet area with so much to sniff. The jacuzzi was so delightful and relaxing as well ! My family and I enjoyed our stay . The only issue we ran into was the incorrect address was provided but wasn’t that big of a deal because our host Callie answered my call right away and helped us find the cabin ! My husband and I loved having the option of escaping the kids and enjoying some one on one time on the star gazing deck! The stars were amazing! The location is close to a handful of local stores, cute restaurants & directly across from Bison Ranch. Callie was a wonderful host! She was responsive, had clear directions & gave us great tips on places to eat! Would definitely book a stay here again! 5 Stars!!!!!!

The Bear Paw cabin was just right for us - myself, husband, and small dog. We loved the location - being right in the middle of Payson and Pinetop. It really was perfect. The hot tub was just what we needed after longs days of hiking and kayaking. In Overgaard we enjoyed the Wild Women Saloon and Grill and Casa Ramos for dinner and drinks. We enjoyed the Aztec coffee bar as well. Callie was super helpful and very responsive. Thank you Callie for the hospitality!

The property is relatively close to the main road but wasn't an issue. Just not in the "middle of the woods". Walking distance to bison ranch with restaurants.

The cabin was cute, easy to find, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. Perfect for our family of 4. The star gazing deck was our favorite feature. Only negative was the little AC unit….it tried to cool the place off, but in the midst of an unexpected heat wave it simply couldn’t keep up in the afternoons. That said, we would absolutely book again. Callie was a lovely, communicative host and we’re pleased to have found this little gem.

We stayed at Callie's cabin for three nights in Spring while it was still pretty cold outside. However, it was warm inside and cozy. The cabin had everything we needed, and it was fun to walk in the neighborhood and to Bison Ranch next door. The rooms are nice, and we really liked the upper deck, facing the sun most of the day. The cabin is fairly close to the main road so we noticed some noise. Our six-year old had a blast collecting rocks and pine cones and he really enjoyed the cabin as well.

Went for work and play, or business & pleasure, as it was for a belated birthday celebration and a work planning trip for our business. It was the perfect space for our needs and exactly as pictures showed--cozy & inviting! We loved the cabin floor plan, décor, star gazing deck, & private jacuzzi!
